I was wondering if its possible to cheat using codebreaker when using hdd+network adaptor?

My ps2's lens died 4 months ago and now im planning to buy a network adaptor and hard disc...

Is it still possible to use cheats without lens?

And can you please suggest a good hard disc?

First, you will need a way to be able to launch hddloader from memory card, if your ps2 lens has died.
The best way is too have fmcb 1.8 installed to your memory card.

Then,Yes you can use Codebreaker with a PS2 hdd.

You first need to patch Codebreaker to be able to use it with hdd

I like using Seagate or Maxtor hdd.

Yep that one will work just fine.

fmcb 1.8 is already installed into my mc! so ill just launch codebreakerpatched93.elf using ule? will it let me browse my games from hd?

You can do lots of stuff with uLe - tutorial

You just launch your codebreaker 9.3, go to options, set 'disc tray' to 'OFF'

Then choose your codes, start game

But first you need to place this CB_launch.elf file in your BOOT folder on your memory card

CB_launch.ELF

This little program was created by jimmikaelkael for users with Free MC Boot on thier memory card. What this CB_launch.elf does is upon launch (from codebreaker) it will kick the system back to the Sony menu for the user to cheat on their choice of without the need of extra loaders:

PS2 original discs
regular PS2 backup discs (if you have a mod chip)
ESR patched PS2 backups
HDLoader
USB Advance

Can ULaunch be used on the hdd? i dont have a usb drive so i cant get ULaunch onto my memory card

I have installed an ISO image of uLe 4.38 to my hdd and launched it, as long as you have a way to launch the hdd, it will work.

You could then use that uLe to copy to your memory card.
