i was trying to figure how to load codebreaker with esr thing and found a video that used mcboot1.6. now since i formatted the mem card i dont have mcboot 1.8. so now i have to use the codebreaker exploit (since i dont have AR MAX at the moment) but theres one simple problem thats driving me crazy, the ps2 wont read the usb ports and i have used:
PSP
2 Flash drives
and a HDD w/usb(flickerd screen)

but i know they work cause they worked just fine with uLaunch etc. someone help me out here.............

Codebreaker and usb only work on under V14 PS2..
This is a Codebreaker problem, not the PS2

V14 is SCPH 7500x, so you need to have a PS2 under that model number.

You shouldn't have needed fmcb 1.6 as Codebreaker works with fmcb 1.8 as well. So its sad that you formatted your memory card when you didn't need to.

okay well i got mcboot 1.8 (lastest) working since i used armax but i did try codebreaker elf and i got blank screen or really slow so how would i be able to get this to work with my esr games

i checked my ps2 version scph-77001 or think its v12 or 13

If you have a SCPH-77001, that is a V15 PS2, and like I said Codebreaker will not recognize or be able to use a USB drive on those PS2 above V14

The reason it is so slow is it no longer compatible with PS2 after V12 or V13 for USB capability.

The only way to use Codebreaker with esr and fmcb is to use patched CB 9.2, 9.3 or 10 ELF and don't have a USB drive attached while loading Codebreaker.
I then use CB_launch.elf downloaded from psx-scene in this thread to launch esr after picking codes
