Hello guys
I got a question for you guys ...
I live in europe , but all socom 1 / 2 servers are nearly shut down ( 0 -10players max.)
I would like to switch to NTSC servers ....

Is there any possibility to to this ?

First you would need the NTSC version of the game

Then you would have to change your link and console ID, which you must be careful as doing something wrong can cause the PS2 not too boot altogether.

And you should make a backup of the console id to your memory card.

You will have to search for 'console id changer'

a few things you might wanna know

1)you can't play jap games online outside of japan even if you change your ID to a jap ps2.

2)this can only be done on older versions of PS2 andything after V7 does not let you save the ps2 ID after you change it which means the ID change doesn't take place.

Your PS2 is a V12, and I guess that is why they say to save your default id.
I think its not really worth buggering with, in my opinion.

I'm like scared to do it , it says in readme , it could fuck up my ^ps2 :( but on the otherhand on NTSC there's still play fun , on PAL there's not.

Otheroption is buy NTSC ps2, NTSC game , power converter etc ... ==> very pricy :(

Yes like anything you are modifying. they are just fore warning you that it could f**k up your PS2.

That is why I said its totally up too you too try it.

If you do it, just make sure to backup your default id

I ain't gonna do it , just read some thread on forums , guys who succesfully did it , but always getting banned on NTSC servers because they changed their console ID , just it's pointless to do it
