PS2 not getting detected on TV

Hi.

I recently got a second hand ps2- original and first plugged into my friends SONY BRAVIA HDTV - it got detected and worked all fine playing a DVD.

I took home and plugged into my tv(bit old) - PS2 is not getting detected. I have tried exploring AV options on the remote - HDMI, AV1, AV2, YPBPR and other stuff...

When i select YPBPR - It just says YPBPR is not available.

Dont know what to do. Would really appreciate help. Is thr any setting i need to change on PS2/TV or something to make it detect?.

Well, now the obvious question is, what kind of cable you used to connect the PS2 to your TV set? Based on your nick, your options would probably be "the normal composite RCA plugs" (i.e. the yellow, white & red cables), SCART (big black thingy :-) and component (six RCA plugs, each with different color).

It could be something like your PS2 being switched to RGB output via SCART, but your TV not supporting it.
