Hi, this is my first post here and I'm sorry if I sound like a noob.
My PS2 had its fuse blown, I believe. (When I pressed the power button, it would turn off and come back on red). So I sent it to a PS2 repair guy. He fixed that issue, but removed all the wires to my mod-chip (Matrix Infinity 1.54), I'm now using FreeMCboot. I still see the laser fix chip in there. Could that be the reason the USB and LAN is not working? If it helps, When I plug my PSP into the PS2 via USB it just says "Please wait..." it seems to be sending power, just not data..
Yea, I'm not sure why he did it either, then I asked him like a month later to put it back in and he said he didn't remember ever touching the PS2. but I loaded ULE and the PSP was still saying "Please wait..." as well as USB Advance and SMS. My 8gb Adata USB flash drive doesn't load anything just like the PSP, but everything loads on my friends PS2.

On one of my PS2 I can only put the USB drive in once uLe has loaded. Depends upon the flash drives. Not all are compatible.
Sometimes just reinserting it will fix it.
As for the PSP, I have mine turned on already, once uLe is loaded I plug it into PS2
It says "please wait", I then choose 'FILEBROWSER' in uLe, then choose MASS\ and it works fine.
Ok. I myself have not tried to run sms or usb advance with a psp but you should be able to use uLE with it.
Try using the new OPN PS2 LDR with it instead of UsB Advance and see it that works
It has better compatibility
If none work, it makes you wonder if he totally disabled the chip or not.
