Recovering files on HDD

I have a question involving recovering files from the MMO Final Fantasy XI on my HDD. Its the screenshots. I've long since left this game and the account is closed/deleted so I can't log back in to view them as usual. Since they're stored on the HDD I assume there's some way to view them or copy them to my PC, and that likely involves modding the ps2 in some way. How would I go about this and/or is it even possible to get my old screenshots. Any suggestions are appreciated, that nostalgia from browsing old pics is hard to shake.

You could install fmcb 1.8 to your memory card using one of the INSTALLATION methods in this link, even includes a FREE Volunteer service

Then using uLe , you could browse the hdd. I have an Official hdd, but haven't played my FFX1 online as yet ever., so not sure what I would be looking for

It may or may not see the files. I only have games installed on it, no screenshots, but its worth a try.
