I know this isn't the exact forum for this kind of question, but this section is much more lively than the hardware one.

I've done a lot of searching on how to solve my issue. The disks wont spin and obviously can't be read as a result. Holding down the sensors with tape didn't solve anything. What odd is that once in a blue moon it will work and play games. So I don't think the laser or motor are dead? Are there any other options that buying the motor and laser? If not I'd rather just buy a new one as they are only 40$ now a days
