While playing my PS2, a few black lines will usually scan up from the bottom of the screen, and sometimes the entire screen will flash black momentarily, but lately, the video has been cutting out completely, leaving me with just stereo sound. When the screen isn't black, it taunts me with a grayscale image of the game I want to be playing for just a moment.

what's the problem, and what can i do to fix it? it's getting pretty annoying.

could be the motherboard on your ps2 (av connection is coming off)

but its probably the cable just buy a new one
