Tv system does not match? with modded ps2?

I have a modded ps2 with martix infinity chip and I've never tried to play before a pal movie. Pal ps2 games work fine, I made the adjustments in the chip settings and I can play the pal games on my ntsc ps2 and tv just fine. Why cant I simply watch a pal movie? I figured if it can do a pal game why not a movie.... So how can I watch this pal movie on my ps2 without getting this tv system not matching message?

I think the issue is with your TV itself; my PS2 did the same thing with one of my TVs, but plays PAL movies just fine on all my other TVs.

You might be able to get around this by using freemcboot to load another DVD player.
