I have no idea how to explain this, but ill try this. it will make sense to anyone familiar with swap magic.
All right, so when i put my disc in, the piece that rotates it turns 4-5 times. not a full spin, just like a jerk. this happens with all discs legal or not.
To make it work, i have to take my slide card and push the lock over to the "open" side, as if i were going to pull the tray out. instead, i push it back in and wait until the laser makes a noise. i looked in and saw that the laser was going up and down and glowing red. then i put the disc in the tray and re-lock the drive. which causes the piece to spin and the game loads.
when the game runs, it runs full speed and without error. so it can't be my laser. that morning, i was playing a game thru swap magic, and when i came back that night, i ran into this problem.
btw: the fix was the result of about 2 hours of poking around. Please help me
