Does anyone have this model? What modchip will work on it?
What is the hit rate of installing the mod chip? Some friends are scaring me that if the soldering screws up my unit, the warranty would not cover it anymore after the modding attempt has been made.
Swap magic may not be easily available in India, and to order it online would mean paying a huge amount for international courier bill.
There are some local areas where supposedly modchips are installed. Just wanted to be a bit aware of the chip names when I go there.
The names you gave would definitely help me to do an educated inquiry in the area.
Most of the threads on this forum are from users who have old units which were hackable, but since my unit was new, I was not sure whether the modchips suggested in the existing threads would work on my unit.
