I'm looking for a Mac app that will allow me burn a ripped DVD (usually from MTR or MDRP) that contains features that will:
1) allow me to preview chapters 2) select/deselect them for inclusion in the burn
3) select the compression level BY CHAPTER
Why? Well, I like to browse through rips and decide what extra features to keep or remove while also allowing me to set the compression on the main feature much lower than the compression on the extras.
I used to use an app on the PC called "1click dvd pro", which fit my needs perfectly. I would be able to lock-in (i.e., choose to keep) chapters that I wanted and then use slide bars to select compression levels (by percentage) on chapters that I locked (which, in turn, would smartly lower or raise the compression level of other locked chapters).
I tried DVDRemaster, which got close to my needs, but the compression slide bars were a very arbitrary range of .80 - 1.20 (with no auto adjustments on other kept chapters or the output file size). Also, the coloring from the recompression using the Transcode setting was atrocious -- I mean BAD (I know they have better selections, but they take FOREVER). That was the deal-breaker for me.
Everyone kept talking about how great DTOX was... am I missing something? I see no preview option and no ability to compress by chapter. Am I correct on that?
Anyway... any help pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated!
