Hi,
I have been using Aiseesoft MP4 Converter for mac without any problems before. However, I am now trying to convert some VOB files from some DVDs to MPEG4 and the length/duration of the file comes out at 28 seconds, when in fact the movie is around 9 mins. long. This seems to be the case for all the DVDs I insert.
I tried converting them anyway just to see if they would come out at the original length, but they come out at 28 seconds.
Please let me know what I can do to rectify this problem.

Then your DVD is not authored correctly or something...all the VOB files that I load show the correct time in HandBrake(I am not loading the entire DVD, just one of the VOB files).

I got someone to convert them from VHS videos to DVDs so it must be his mistake? Is there anything I could tell him to do differently? Thank you!

I am gonna look through the rips that I have and see if I find a problematic one, and look for the difference.
You can try to use Vob2MPG and extract the video from the VOB to an mpeg file. There will not be any re-encoding done, it'll take a minute or two. The time index should be re-adjusted.

Now I remember why I couldn't use Handbrake: when trying to add a file, it says:
This version of Handbrake is 64bit, VLC found but not 64 bit.
Well, I went to the VLC site and they say that because of lack of developers they are not making a 64bit VLC.
What to do?
