major screw up on original xbox softmod

I was softmodding a v1.1 or v1.2 xbox and I was doing the backups of the eeprom, C, and ms dash and both the c and eeprom backup completed but I was getting an error so i pushed delete ms dash backup and tried to backup again got another error and so i ejected the disc and the light turned red and the maintance thing popped up I pushed the eject button again and while it was on the maintance menu the game started up and i tried to backup again but still got an error so then i figured the launcher wasnt working right so I was able to access the gamesaves and i deleted the unleash launcher (major mistake) after that the xbox wouldnt boot up any game at all and so its been just sitting tucked away and was thinking about using xboxhdm to fix it but i realised i didnt have or know the hdd key so dont think i will be able to use xboxhdm. Is there a way i can still get the eeprom or hdd key from the eeprom or is the xbox a big paper weight.
