Hi All

This is not my first post but have had to re register due to forgetting password and having new e mail account.

I have a eurovox max pvr 5000 and have it plugged directly into the supply no splitting. The trouble is on a lot of channels im getting a jump in the sound and picture. the signal strength I have is 85-88%.

Could anyone help

Thanks

Joanne

sounds like the signal is two strong, you need a attenuator on the line, ya can get em from Maplins, try a 4db one, to bring it down a bit or use a splitter if ya have one, it may reduce it as most splitter do.

many Thanks

What is the ideal signal strength. There is a splitter on the cable that did run off to the modem in the broadband... Is this the splitter you are referring to... Sorry for being slightly technically ignorant

usually a normal splitter will reduce yer signal slightly, like the one you would use to split the cable to say another room for another TV,

this is to spliter yer BBand and TV signal that you have, but if you want to lower the signal to your tv, you can use a line attenuator, which will drop yer signal,

Thanks very much, where does it fit in to the system. Will get one at the weekend and see if it resolves it

you can use it on the cable coming into your box, so you will have the cable coming into the box, but with one of these on the line and then into the box

a 3db or 4db may work,
