I own a Triax T-HD409VA DVB-T recorder. I would like to burn the recordings onto a DVD, but the .TS-file seems to be encrypted.
The PVR records to an external harddrive. I've succeeded in getting the files from the harddrive on to my PC. The problem now is, that I can't find any software that will decrypt the files.
Every recording is stored inside a directory called [recording name].ts. Inside this directory there is: 1 data.bin-file, 7 index[filenumber].bin-files and 1 directory named stream0. The stream0-directory contains the recording itself called stream0.ts (several stream0 files for larger recordings) and a file called stream0.idx.
I've tried virtually any software I could find with no success in playing/demuxing the file. They either show no picture/no sound or simply doesn't recognize the file as a .ts-file. I've also tried to decompile/modify the firmware.
The instruction manual for the PVR states, that the recordings can only be played back on the specific PVR-box that originally created it. But I hope this can be changed ;)
Does anybody know of some piece of software, that let's me descramble the recording?

have you tried to transfer the .TS file to.AVI? The .TS file is the actual program, which you change into .AVI file, worth a shot, there are programs out there that do this
As far as I'm aware the recordings are encrypted with Nagravision encryption, whichever is the latest revision on the box and so they will not play back unless placed on another box with the same revision encryption as the one that recorded it.

I've tried to transfer it to various formats. I've, among others, used HDTV2DVD and HDTVtoMPEG2, MPEG streamclip, meGUI and dgavcdec. Can you suggest any good software for converting to AVI?
I should probably also mention that the DVB-T signal in my country is MPEG4 H.264 coded with AAC sound. Don't know about the recordings though.

Yes, this what I suspect too. I've tried CWFinder for finding the control word, but I am not sure, that this is the right tool for this specific encryption. I've also tried OfflineDescrambler, but this seems to be made for CA modules. The channels i record is FTA, but for some reason all the manufacturers scramble the recordings...
