i am a digivox xl usb, its october 2009 now, my box isnt even giving blank channels,its only goin onto menu, can anyone give me latest firmware,or help me,.i aint lookin to get sky sports or movies, i know they are gone, but id like to get living, documentry channels etc,its the black digivox xl usb. thanks , an i hope someone helps me

i take it your in Ireland?
Factory reset the box firstly from the menu, once done
go here

and digivox section then to Digivox XL and latest firmware and download
DigivoxXLUSB_1.06_090818.BIN onto your desktop.
Insert a USB pen or drive onto the PC and drag this over onto it, When flashing, do not remove or stop the flash until such time the box reboots and starts, once you can get into the menu, factory reset again and then install the chans,

yes in dublin, ah i lost some channels then tried to download some firmware to get back lost channels, then it just wouldnt even go back to any channels, just stays on menue, am i doin something wrong, i put usb in and donlowd latest firmware then scan for channels, but no channels come in

i take flashing mean, downloading usb onto digivox,, i dont that, an reset factory default an scanned for channels, nothing happens, still stuck on menu,, after i scanned , it said no new channels an went straight onto menu again.

yes,,, its my brothers one, its mad, cause mine is working fine, so i changed them over, an his is till just on menu....an i did download that link u gave me,reset factory settings,uploaded usb,it rebooted itself then i scanned an it said no new channels, , ah me head is wrecked now, cause he had a few channels on it b4 i touched it, now he will think i wrecked it on him, an its probably something simple i am doin wrong

Are you selecting the correct provider from the installation list? You on true cable dub? Are you putting the pipe cable into the correct input on the back of the box?
Not my work, thanks to the Author,
To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port
at the back of the receiver. Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB
at the bottom of the screen. Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the
(Digivox V1.06 USB Bin file) appear on the screen. Highlight the Digivox V1.06 USB Bin File with the
remote and press th ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box.Do not touch the remote or the box for at least
30 seconds after the box has rebooted other wise you will end up with a dead box displaying 8882 on the display there is no way to
recover this box after this happens you will have to send back to the supplier
After you have uploaded the software from your memory stick,
? Plug the box in to the TV using the usual scart lead.
? Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,
? Select correct provider i.e. N**, C/W or TW ch***s
? Then automatic scan
? Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
? Press menu System Info press ok then Key in 1004, this takes you to a secret menu,
. Set Default Key
? Go down to Key CODE and turn it on.
? Now exit and wait for it to store all the data.
? That?s it, have fun

when i go to instalation to select provider, it only has auotmatic scan or manual scan,, i dont see any ntl provider,, on my menu there is installation.perental control,channel setup,user set up , factory default.system information. an usb

Your scanning it wrong or missing a step, as when you select installation, you have to select the provider as stated above as your next step and then auto scan

it says software version 1.06 ... here i just switched boxes for a min, an on other on it says software 1.04 an thts the one that works,,

1.04 is older firmware, 1.06 is the last one which will give you all chans bar the sport n mov, there is something not right here as you should be getting the option to choose the provider beofre scanning,
when you auto scan are you getting the option to choose then?

try it with 1.04 or 1.05 and see if it give you access to the provider menu and if does, scan for chans as above, then flash 1.06 over it,
They only thing I can think off is the box is goosed

nope, a factory reset brings the box back to the start, when you try to start you installation, the first choice should be the Provider and then the scan. There is something wrong.
Lastly, have ya tried to manual scan for pig iron?
Is your cable in the correct input on the back of the box?
try this
Manual Scan - enter freq 150.00, rate 6887 and see if anything comes in

You may have to enter them in manually, try 390.00, 291.00, 315000, 347500, 299000, 394250, 355500 and let me know how ya get on
