Hi only got home a short while ago and have just checked and in Merlin the EPG set is /autofs/sda and epg file name is epg.dat. I do remember when I tried to set up hard drive first time in the normal way as in menu/setup/system/storage devices it was giving me trouble so I set up initialization of hard disk in TSPanel and instead if showing up Hard Disk in Crossepg config it now shows SATA drive which is correct. Have you tried mounting your drive that way?
Right I'm a dumbass it's the other way round it should be path media/sda1. I tried to retrace my steps last night while sorting it originally. That's where the problem lies in my opinion. It's to do with the hard disk mounting or the USB.

Now I understand. Sorted merlin 3 with autofs path as epg . just thought I was stupid but wanted to confirm

OK, programmed dm800 with merlin 3 and set up EPG path as suggested and everything works perfectly. Thanks mooley

Mooley any chance you could pm a link to the image fintannl got .I couldn't find it so i went with this : Merlin-3-final-dm800-5-15-ramiMAHER.nfi . Been at it all day can't get cross epg to work or a ccam also can't put tspanel on either (I put an ipk file into tmp but no joy !) cheers!

Ok getting places , got tspanel up and with crossepg I did the following (remote control) menu/setup/merlin epg path/autofs/sda1/crossepg ,(green button) save . Fingers crossed on this image ! cheers mooley !

No worries. It is one the best images I've found. Tried many but most were unstable or had problems with plugins etc.

OK after breaking my heart with merlin 3 trying to get tsmedia working properly I finally got the necessary answer from mfaraj at tunisiasat. So loaded openpli-3.0-beta-dm800 ssl84d on the dreamoem site. This image rocks. It looks great and both crossepg and tsmedia are available from the plugin download section. And it works an absolute charm. It seems your SSL must be at SSL 84a or 84b before upgrading so keep that in mind. Personally its the best and most recent image available to sim2 clone users. Note this image is not for ferrarri sims.
