First of all are you in UK or Auntie Hell in Ireland, if the latter then forget it okay, it will not work. Now if in UK you need to establish the symbol rate for the area you are in 6952 or 6887, if in doubt then try one at a time (or even state your location and you can be provided with it. Next and most importantly "make sure that you have a LIVE cable feed going into the RF IN socket at the rear of your box, if so then press Menu and go across to Config and choose Clear Data, press OK amd enter Pin 0000 OK - now choose Factory Default on your Symbol Rate OK and OK to cofirm and OK again to start scan. It should then pick up the TPs (Transponders) first and then your channels will then start to drop in, make a cup of tea - when finished - wait for saving then exit to Main Menu, Highlight Language Settings and Press OK, 4 option bars will appear, now enter 1968 and 2 more will appear Emulation and Emm Capture, just ensure that Emulation is enabled, now exit out to TV and let it update. (The obvious thing to ensure before you start is that you have a LIVE Cable feed going into the RF IN socket as I have stated up above) if you have the latest firmware and are located in the UK then you should now have everything on your box.

Yes that is most likely to be your problem okay, it is likely to be disconnected inside the box. Easiest way is to just put a cable splitter on your Internet connection and it will be fine, so you will need a little length of Digi coaxil, 2 cable plugs and a cable splitter. Everything will work off your Internet connection, do not use the other connection.

In the meantime why don't you temporarily disconnect your broadband cable and put the EV direct into the b/b connection and tune the box in, you can then get the stuff you need later.

There are two symbol rates for Essex, Essex 1 N*L ex CW 6.887 and Essex 2 TW 6.952, so try them both but make sure that you do a Factory Default first okay. And I suggest that you click on the link marked Eurovox and follow HiTeck's excellent guide for setup/scanning.

Hi All
Does anyone know, if I took my upstairs sky box, or main box to another house,
would I still be able to view all my subscribed channels, sky tell me I have to keep
my phone line connected at all time, is this so? And if I disconnect my phone from my Sky box
will Sky know it's disconnected?
thanks

yes sky will know if your box is disconnected but you could bring to another house short term only.
