Eurovox ex1000sl freezing

This problem has happened about once every day since last tuesday. I'll go to change channel and it will just freeze for maybe 10 seconds or so. Then the screen will go blank. Turn it off and back on and the channels go back into there original order.

I have to plug it into my laptop and send my backup over with voxer, then change the time settings back to gmt.

Anyone else having or had similar problems? Is my box likely on the way out or is it the provider?
