Eurovox ex5000 pvr to record from another box?

Basically i have eurovox pvr sitting there gathering dust since most of the channels are gone on ntl dublin. I decided rather the risk buying a new box that might not work in a month or 2, to buy a freesat box instead.

This is the one i just ordered:

Now it has a scart vcr connection so you can record from it with a dvd recorder or vcr, i'm just wondering would i be able to set up my eurovox to record from this freesat box.

I realise its a long shot but at least the box might still have some use then.
