sorry what i ment to say was when i replyed he could have replyed back with a thank you, then when malci gave him an answer could he have replyed back again with another thank you & how are you, and then again with yourself,
would that be still classed as post padding or would you be walking a fine line nearly crossing it

That would have been ok - I mean us mods aren't all that mean :)
A lot of off topic and back to posts though is definitely frowned up.
Edit our previous post instead and try to on topic. We do understand the occasional banter though.

Power-scan from 250 to 600 MHz
When scan complete manually add transponder 150 MHz
Tick 150 MHz on list & manual scan

Thanks Hitec and Eamo_Too...Would be laughin too except for me head..! Alright back to boxs.....
I'd already sussed the powerscan for 291 to 600 MHz scan and then adding the 150 MHz scan afterwards. ( Copped tnat after I bought a Krypt box.) Anyone any idea why the the ex1000 won't scan through the 150 Mhz ? Also another little riddle. the Adu*t and Pl*yB*y channels won't lock in on the ex1000. They locked in on the DBox2 and the Krypt yesterday but not on the ex...strange one that ! I checked their frequencies out (355.726 and 347.726) and they should be picked up on the eurovox.

Please help and sorry if this has been asked before. I'm trying to establish if there is a newer version of the firmware for the EuroVOX 7000HD other than the one available from the 9-3-09. Comments seem to state that there is one but I have looked in the usual location here
http://www.4shared.com/account/home.jsp
But there is nothing newer than the march firmware

Any suggestions would be a great help

Thanks

Any comments stating there's a N2 fix for 7000 are mistaken

This might have been asked before but I've been sitting back here reading all the stuff going on lately & monitoring the threads (nothing useful to add so haven't seen it necessary to post for posts sake).
I've been silently thinking if a fix can be written for the ex1000 then one can be written for the popular Max V especially now that there seems to be a few boxes working... Now I'm sure there's lots of reasons why Eurovox haven't got a fix out for this version but to further expand my knowledge of this whole subject can I ask what is the difference why the Max V will work on C*orus and not on Nt* when they are both "A UP* company" as the man says on their "award winning" very helpful service....(not).
Is it because they were once 2 different companies transmitting over different equipment & frequencies and therefore affect different boxes differently?

They are now amalgamated as you said but from a Ch**us MMDS perspective they are utilising DVB T so yes different equipment. Where they are similar to N** cable is on the true cable side of the Ch**us network as they both utilise DVB C.

The problem lies in the fact that they are independent to a point when it comes to licensing as they do not have the same ID, (symbol rate), and so need to amalgamate even further. The N** cable network has had quite a bit of physical work already completed on it from both a cabling and headend perspective.

At the moment the Ch**us network still has the 1800 (N1), 1801 (N2) and 1802 (N3) streams present as per the N** network. But is still broadcasting on all three, so the older N1 firmware is clearing the channels. The N** network has N1 turned of and is currently simulcrypt over both the 1801 and 1802 streams for now.

Their goal is to just use 1802 (Nagra 3). Please add to or correct me some one will :)

No that sounds right. I had anticipated that they were using different technology but just wasn't aware of the different streams. That makes sense alright. As typically happens in these takeover situations the front-end (the customer care centre & website) will have a unified single feel but in the background they will be all over the shop until they spend to upgrade all their kit to a single standard.
It could be safe to assume then that they're concentrating on getting Chro*s off N1 and onto N2 which could be a reason they haven't roled on N3 to Nt* customers yet.... Not causing a panic with that comment I hope for the Chor*s folk :-) Just an aside really.
Mid-August is approaching fast which means football... Time to get off the Max V fence I think...
Enjoy mate. Cheers.

Good question back there JaneyMack and thanks for the info on the reply sc0user but you didn?t fully answer, the eurovox Max V is there any logical reason why a fix cant be implemented on this, is there a physical difference or is this a financial decision by eurovox not to fix and try pick up extra sales on the working models? If it is I really believe one of the numptys from N*L has got a job in their marketing department who is going to scrap there eurovox and buy another model eurovox after the terrible support and delay in finding a fix when other box?s never went down?

P.S, Well done bassman42 think I should go for addict 1,000,000 thank you?s coming up for anyone that answers LOL.
