i cant get my my eurovox ex5100 pvr flashed i have the programs downladed but when i go to upload it does nothing so i go to download it comes up com1 com2 com3 i select com3 because i have tried the others and get nothing i get waiting for responce from reciver and does nothing i have also made sure that my computer knows which lead i am using which is usb to nul i can see this in my device manager can anyone help please psp i am not to good with computer

are you using a computer that runs on windows vista as vista can cause problems flashing boxes(the problem is down to the usb serial driver software not being compatable with vista,even tho it may say it is)if you have a mate or family member that has a computer that runs on windows xp try to flash it on there and see will it work,but you will need to install the usb serial driver on that computer also or on a portable usb memory stick that you can insert in to the usb slot on the windows xp computer. hope this helps you.

yes i have vista i just though i was doing something wrong with my laptop i got the box flashed thank you v much
but a wish that the people that r selling these boxes would do something about this problem as most of us are now using laptops and they are selling
the leads usb to nul and the download only works with nul to nul

why would they do that?? nothing to do with the box, there are cables out there to flash boxs' not everyone uses a laptop, the rs232 connection is a standard connection method across a lot of electricals, from TV to boxs etc

yes the nol leads work but the usb to nul with vista will not all i am saying laptops dont have nul connection why sell the lead

vista always was a problem flashing a box, thats why the usb adapter and the directions in the above for drivers and comports etc where done for laptops, XP never had that issue, just vista as its a heap of shite
