HI Im in dublin wondering how to set up my dreambox 500s for fta channels , So far ive got the dish set up right and box to sat cable connected .On the box's menu i try sat search n it still gives noting .Its only searching 19.2E and i think this might be it but if not where am i going wrong?

your terrestrial.xml file is incorrect. you need to go use this link for the necessary files http://www.satellites.co.uk/forums/dream...6th-2010-a.html and upload them to your dreambox using dreamboxedit 3.0.0.

Satellite.xml is needed for a 500s and not terrestrial.xml.
Beside that Astra 28.2 should be already included in the current one.

mgb, you are so correct. that was a mistake on my behalf. having said that it is what i meant and by downloading from the link supplied the satellites.xml file will be correctly updated and will then support 28.2. great to see you back and thanks a million for all your help in times past. i see you are still busy on digital kaos doing good stuff. much of my knowledge is based on your support. thanks for that
