hi ive recently bought a eurovox ex1000sl and was wondering how to tell if ive bought a clone box, the reason i ask is because i was checking ur links to see the best place to buy from (this was after i already bought mine) and where i got it from was on ur list to avoid, cableandsat.com, ive put the firmware on the box and all channels r there. ive no idea whats the diff between a real and a clone

only prob is pothead that ive sold the box on to a friend, what other signs is there for clones, would it not have been found when i put the fireware on?

Yeah , I think you may have had a problem loading the firmware if it was a clone . Relax , everything should be OK !
