how to put firmware on a starview 1 box

hi, recenly dug out my old starview 1 clone box, have got cryptstar v1.5 but need a step by step guide on putting it on my box...any help please would be most kind.

Just click on the link marked Starview at the bottom of post okay - You will need the CryptStar 257Core.bin for the clone box and use the GTRom 4.00 Loader - all of which can be found in Eamo's FTA Library.

hello,
no joy im afraid, maybe i did the download wrong but my clone will only show FTA channels and even then they are sketchy in green squares and now its stuck on "info data being updated (120%")....is it an internal componet gone or am just doing something wrong....dont forget im a newbie and still need to hold hands crossing the road till i find my feet.

factory reset the box and then rescan on yer provider, once scanned, press menu, type 1570 and turn the EMU to on, exit all the way out to a chan, SKY SPO and let it update

still no joy, although sky spo and movie prem etc are all coming thru albeit in a green hazy fuzz, so imust be close,
a friend with a similar box has just told me my box may want J TAGGING ???? ANY CATS IN L,POOL OR st hELENS DO THIS SERVICE I WONDER.

sounds like the loader or tuner is knackered, if its the tuner, I would bin it and buy another box, its a old clone box at this stage and is it worth spending money on a old clone box either for a tuner or to have it JTAGGED??
in the sell section on here ya can pick one up for about 30 pounds, up to mate
