this is the latest file for the starview 4 usb this file is recommended for users to put on their boxes to stop them from dying from the power failure prob causing the boot loader not to start up
To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick and then put the memory stick in the USB port
at the back of the receiver. Then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB
at the bottom of the screen. Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the
(Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen. Highlight the Box Super USB Bin File with the
remote and press th ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box.Do not touch the remote or the box for at least
30 seconds after the box has rebooted other wise you will end up with a dead box displaying 8882 on the display there is no way to
recover this box after this happens you will have to send back to the supplier
After you have uploaded the software from your memory stick,
? Plug the box in to the TV using the usual scart lead.
? Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation,
? Select correct provider i.e. N**, C/W or TW ch***s
? Then automatic scan
? Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen
? Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to a secret menu,
thanks e45 got that box going but cant start the sv4 U*B with red light at back and no red light on front screen is there any cure for that problem was looking at other 5 pin on board could this be a fix or reboot
