thats for updating firmware after the initial firmware is loaded by you, so once you load the firmware in E45 sig, you can update the firmware via the box itself

Menu and down to System Information at the bottom OK and if there is a Date saying 18/06/2010 or 24/08/2010 then yes you can use the S/W Update feature to get the latest 09/09/2010, if not then you will have to flash it as MICHA has advised.

alright lads iv just fitted a 780 in me bro,s and for evreything went well apart from when i done a local scan, sly sports 1,3 an espn channels arnt getting picked up in the scan, has any one got any ideas to try nice one

Try scanning on your correct Net Id for your area and also on a direct feed

You need to connect it to a router via a straight through ethernet cable.

on the back of box between on/off switch and vcr scart socket you will see a piece of black tape . remove it and your ethernet port is there

its ok iv sorted it just tightened up all the connections,and iv picked them up now surprising the diffrence half a turn makes its also stopped freezing all the time tha thanks anyway
