There is new firmware available to download direct from the net via your remote control for your box

Menu ..... installation ........ S/W update let the file download then the file will unzip just leave the box alone at this point after it has done the box will reboot i suggest you do a factory default and do a new scan on your box again

that information is not given out for obvious reasons all future updates for all box there will be no information for what they do.

you either update to it or you dont your choice

so we update a 160 quid box with an update
only u and kv no about but us the
buyers wont be told what the update
is for , so u either do it or not.

nothing to do with customer support and i dont know what it does either all im saying is you update your box same as everyone else does if they want they dont bring out updates for the fun of it there brought out for a reason and to be honest i dont care what they do as long as my box works.

At the end of the day it the users responsibility to update there box or not same as it is for your Microsoft updates for your pc.

and as these forums are open to everyone why would any STB company tell people what they do for all and sundry to countermeasure them.

You are not installing a patch from me m8 and to be honest i dont care weather you do or dont lots of other will that is why that feature was installed on the box you seem to be the only one having a problem so best not to update your box to it so when you have problems down the line lets see where you come to with them

I do my best to help people out here went out of my way to help you with your box and what did i get for it a load of grief its people like you that spoil it for others on here as they say once bitten twice shy i defo wont be making that mistake again in a hurry for anyone i will let them do there own work

Also look at any of the Starview threads with the new 1.04 patch for the starview 7 do you see anything about what that new released patch does no you dont and you wont ever see any information on any further patches for any boxes been broadcasted on any public forum

how did u no i was getting a replacement
box and post it on the forum and the
date it was going out - then delete

if you look around other forums you will see other people promoting the same info i have put here

oh while we are at it if your interested

there are new patches for
the starview 7
didgital duo
starview combo
euroview hd

now how do i have that info ?? did you know that them patches where also out same time

no as its on other forums just because people dont post here that is there choice i put up what i think people need to know that is all they need to know new firmware out try it your self and work out what it does if you are so interested.

Also not promoting it this is an open forum anyone can post on here just they did not

the new firmware has been posted on other forums since 31st for download you need latest firmware so your box would have access to any new servers older firmware will only access the servers related to your current firmware e45 is only trying to be helpfull and letting members know there is new firmware for download to keep boxes running at there best

yes i know m8 there is so many guys still running original firmware and wonder why there box glitches but you would think letting guys know there is a new update they would not question your motives but glad to be told but there is always one LOL

i have added the new firmware to the bottom of my signature now if they want to load via null modem cable.

Updated firmware as per instructions (via remote control and performing factory reset and scan). All ok, except the 'last channel' menu always chooses the wrong BBC1 station.

Went by the tutorial on your sig. Strange thing is that it seems to have fixed itself now. I still find that the odd program on the 'last chan' button sends me off to the wrong place, but its something I can live with.
