installed updated 0_09092010

did fact-default
went to auto search
pressed green button

didnt get this
after you see this screen you will get another with a list of areas
pick your net id or nearest area and press ok let the box do the rest thats it

it went straight to tv channles / radio channle box
tcp 8/8
sig strength 56
complete exit then goes back to easy installation

anything im doing wrong here guys ?
came across nothing to select net id

Ok lets start at the start and follow this ok
1 menu >> installation >>> factory default your box password >>> 0000
2 unplug your box from the power socket wait 30 seconds and plug back in
3 next screen you see is the scan screen scroll down to auto and press ok
4 next screen you get put your provider on top leave the next one alone set to default NETWORK
5 press the green button on your remote only let the box scan
6 next screen you get list of net id find your one or nearest to you and highlight it and press ok
leave the box to scan let me know then when this is done what you get

this is were its skipping

its skips the id scan shows 8 and flips to installation again

do i still need to config com port with box plugged into router

update ran my old cable splitter
with no ethernet cable
got all the channles in only 1
net id - 60/40 working channles
some paid some not -
all sports missing
most of the other regulars there

update for some odd reason if i just use
the ethernet 60/40 channles no sky sports
if i plug my spliter in as well
there all there

what ever works right

did you scan your box on all channels or Network

you either did not turn the box off at the back to kill the power after you factory defaulted the box fully.

you need to scan your box on a direct feed NOT split feed

you need a cable feed in the box as well as an net feed

and if you are only paying for the broadband and not cable i would say your cable feed is to low

Also make sure you put the 780 firmware on your box as the 750 firmware has same date if unsure flash the box again

Also please update this post if you got a new box thanks

you either did not turn the box off at the back to kill the power after you factory defaulted the box fully -- had my wife time 30 secs turned of at the back

you need to scan your box on a direct feed NOT split feed
scanned on split cable in box + ethernet cable
1 without the other resulted 60/40

and if you are only paying for the broadband and not cable i would say your cable feed is to low -- i have 10 meg vm

nah i found the problem loose connection on clip between
power board and main board - fixed it myself -

Because you have a 10mg Broadband feed dont mean that your split cabel feed is strong enough signal wise to pull in the lower freq channels

check your signal on your box choose a channel and then press info button if your signal is lower than 75% you will suffer channel loss and breakup channel loss is nothing to do with your Broadband feed as the channels come thru the cable feed
