Hi guys. Had a starview1 box for ages with no problems. However my house mates decided to have a play and put an incorrect password in too many times and it has now locked me out of resetting to factory settings and I am now in a loop with setting the language and the main menu, I cant even watch any channels, it wont let me leave the menu.
I tried going into the factory settings, it asks me to put in a password which I put 0000 and it says "Press OK or delete to EXIT" which takes me back to the language menu.
Is there a over riding password or a way to reset the box another way?
Cheers in advance

The main password I think is 1668.But I dont think this is
much use to you if you have done a factory reset.Doing a factory
reset deletes everything from your box except your firmware. So I
suggest if there is 4 zeros on the front of your box you should start
from scratch and do an automatic scan.

Hi there, i tried 1668 and it did the same as entering "0000". Its a problem that I am locked out of anything. I dont think I did a complete factory reset. I want to reset the password but can't get to the menu. I'll try starting from scratch again.

if you press ok and go to the lang setting, you may have to re-scan your chans on your provider

all depends, if your box is a clone and dead, there is no fix, whats the error message on the box if any? The 8882 error can jtagged, but the 8888 error on the front panel cant, if the box is dead totally and depending if its a clone or not
