guys I posted a excerpt stating the cards will start to roll out in the areas, some peeps got them, some havent, there is no way that anything will change in a matter of days or even weeks until everyone has got them.
Now why would anyone do a revamped N1 card? doesnt make one lick of sense, when N1 is as open as the north sea, they want to plug holes in their service, not leave them open
Like I said above, read into statements being made and why....

even when my new card comes i wouldnt be using it. il kept saying i havent got it. ive been told this new card once its been put in the box it resets all your settings and signals so who ever has a chipped box or starview will lose all channels.

regardless if you dont use it, you will start losing chans from the box as you would with the SV, the only thing the card does, it will allow the box to view the chans that have moved, by you not putting the card in wont stop it. it wont delay it, if that were the case the population of Ireland would have slung their cards in the bin and still have their chans

Could this N3 thing be why all my channels disappeared on Monday last week? the 2nd November. Although I am in South West Hertfordshire (Watford), my brother in North London can still get all his channels.
It's annoying I have only had a months viweing out of my The box super USB n now the only channels are all BBC and ITV1, none of the freeview channels are working either.
EMU is on, have rescanned and entered key codes, still nothing but BBC and ITV1.
North West London and Watford, were Videotron, then C&W bought them out then NTL bought out C&W, has anyone else had any problems, or is my box not working?

factory reset, scan without any splitters, try not to multipost.
What version firmware you got running on the box? In the CAS menu, hit the default key to see if this helps
Have you checked to see if there is a issue with the service in your area on the virmin service webpage?

Thanks, have checked no problems reported on the Virmin site.
Ive done the default key thing and the firmware is 1.07, is there a newer one than tis?
Will do the splitter thing tonight, but why would it have worked for a month first with a splitter, then suddenly all gone, all gone. I'll have to go to Paul's house. LOL

If a splitter is crap or damaged it will interfere with your signal quality, if you have done a factory reset and scan on
Watford - Herts NTL/C&W, 41051 666750 6952 - Cable and Wireless is the one to choose from the provider list,

Sorry guys I have to admit I watch Emmerdale and that postie who is the son of Bob hasn't delivered any smartcards there. I think thats filmed in the Harrogate area. I think Alan Turner may be Trouble i'm sure I saw he had a starview 2 under his TV he must be panicking now. BTW how come that postie worked through the strike? ;-)

Well took splitter out of equation, last night, no joy, still no premium channels or even DAVE.
I haven't put any new software on there yet, but I have a question, why would my bother with a much older box not have to put new firmware on there? But i buy a new box which worked for a month then suddenly no channels at all, rescan finds them all, even tells me what's on all of them in the EPG and info but will only display a pic on the BBC ones and ITV1.
I am begining to think i have a faulty box. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

did you press the defualt key in the EMU and then exit it out?? i wouldnt be comparing areas in case there is an issue, with your area.
try the above and if you still have the same problem, flash the box with the firmware and factory reset and try again, if it is then the same issue, I would contact your supplier as the tuner may be goosed.

I have a SV3 box super in the Teesside area. I did a channel scan last week and a channel called NGTV_Switch appeared is this anything to do with the supposed N3 switchover do you think?

ive not seen that message,I get the normal security fraud message but its now changed to your service will stop working shortly lol,if it does it was good while it lasted and I wont lose any sleep over it,

My box has put it on ch29, the channel itself is not broadcasting anything NGTV_Switch is just the channel name.

I am looking to buy a Starview 5 or HD Combo and I leave in Harrogate area....is it money well spent or not? I am going loose channels after a few days/weeks? I just don't know what to do.
