UPC switched off N2 for the movie and sports channels at chorus. The N2 fix was working but now only N1 and N3 is left for the premium channels at chorus.

New subscribers got the upc mediabox with a N2 card installed at exchorus cable networks last year. This N2 cards are now exchanged and upc is able to switch off N2 channel wise also at chorus.

i cannot see how the n2 fix will work on c****s mmds boxes as they are dvb/t and the firmware is dvb/c.

All the stations are working now. The last time this happened this area was the last to be hit.

Sounds to me like Ch###s are going straight to N3. Surely this won't happen until they issue new cards to all their customers. Even customers with just basic package will have to receive a new card. Am I correct in assuming this is what's likely to happen?

How'yu, dots. Could you please post which Sym. rate used in swords when
you're scanning for chls., and whether cable or aerial + which box you

Heres the way the change over to N3 will happen in my opinion. With priority given to higher tier customers
Phase One - All the old Pace Black Model boxes to be swapped out (Done)
Phase Two - All the Silver pace (Small box and one with the card in the back) boxes N1 cards to be swapped out. (Done)
Phase Three - N1 Stream to be switched off, Leaving N2, N3 stream (Not fully complete)
Phase four - All N2 cards in U#C media boxes and PVR boxes to be swapped out. (Not completed yet)
Phase five - Turn of N2 streams (Not fully complete)
Phase six - Card swap to be completed by replacing the cards in the Ch#ors Sagem boxes.
Phase Seven - N3 Live in All areas
Think they have done it this way to avoid confusion to customers as there are so many different models of boxes out there, and also they started with the N@L areas as they are the ones with the highest number of Higher end Subs.

Hope you're right, Cacti, But I think Nagra techno's have it sorted.
I would say Nagra3 will hit CHO*US-T boxes when U*C can afford to change
legit boxes. Other option is to re-configure CHO*US-T network + change to dvb-C signal. The costings here may delay implementation.
I imagine CHO*US cable areas like Cork City will need all cables
upgraded with fibre-optics before roll out of Nagra3.These are simply my
opinions.

not sure about all your phases in order but nearly everybody has there card for the pvr boxes otherwise they would have to revert back cos that was the problem box for them thats why nag.3 was not out earlier!!
also i am not a traitor i always had 1 of there pvr boxes, lol

So just to clarify, at the moment Chorus are still broadcasting on N1, does that mean that the dodgy boxes will be still working there for a while and does anyone know if they would work on Chorus in Naas?

Chorus are on N1 (For the sagem boxes and Chorus MMDs)
On Nagra 2 for the PVR and Mediabox subs that have not been switched over to N3
There will be no need for Chorus to change over to N2 they will go straight no N3 when they replace the cards in the Sagem boxes, they will start this after they have completed the card swap for PVR and Mediaboxes, would say the complete changeover will be complete before xmas.

So if they're still broadcasting on N1/N2 would someone that lives in Naas (they're on cable) be able to use a Kryptview A750 box and still get all the premium channels.
