no fta channels on sv

hi cant get all the fta channels some have dollar sign and dont work have done factory reset and scan but still no good this is on my sv3 and sv5 any ideas as what to do

MENU--INSTALLATION--1570
Turn keycode to on
FTA channels vary with different providers
Post back with location & channels clearing

Turn keycode to on
FTA channels vary with different providers

hi have tried with keycode on and off still the same some of the channels i cant get are film 4,sky sp news itv4,itv3 yet i still get boomerang and a couple of others which are not fta,i live in east london

Try MENU--1570-- DEFAULT KEY-- OK. Turn keycode ON.
Make sure you have latest firmware on box before hitting default key, if not you will have to enter keys manually. Have a look at NAGRA 3 areas list on forum, maybe your missing chls.

ave tried allkey codes but still no freeview channels can get them on my built in tuner on telly but not on sv boxes on other rooms how doi make the svfree toair andwill it work on cable or are they charging for this

Well I've been loosing channels over the last couple of weeks, first alll premium channels, then lost everthing accept the five terrestial channels and VM's warning message channel. So I think everthing going to go eventually. :(
In fact my SV is now uplugged and I'm using Freeview.

hi can you just hit the reply button when replying, you dont need to quote yerself. If you are in a Nagra 3 area you will loose and keep losing chans, until there is next to nothing left, you will be better off just putting the cable back into the TV and using this

hi i am just hitting the reply button, when you say just put cable back into telly do you mean ariel lead,also the tellys i mean have not got freeview so need a box they are in kids room main tellys down stairs have the freeview built in

Unfortunately that's what MICHA does mean (if you are in UK and N3 has kicked in. As regards the FTA channels you will only get the basic terrestial ones via your SV box, so it is a case of getting a freeview box for the kids room. As regards the Reply button, if you need to quote what message you are replying to then what you are doing is correct, if quote is not needed then just type into the "Reply to this discussion thread" box and press Reply.
