does any channels come in if left on istream for 10 min
also you done `checklist on post#7 except for no.6 dont think it applys to hd box

i would try a reset yes
also did you do a factory reset after you put firmware on box!

Sorry was away for a bit
you only need 1 firmware on your box, Always try with the latest/newest 1 out first,
I think i posted it in the link a couple posts back
(And do a factory reset "after" you put new/old firmware on the box everytime)

Hi, is any1 selling a Starview 6 Combo, that is ready to go. I currently have a SV1 (The Box), had it for 3 years, and was working great until couple of days ago.

you need to go to the buy and sell section of Afterdawn and you are aware that the cable side of the combo is useless after a year and if your buying a 2nd hand one, the clocks already ticking on that year and the current performance of the cable side is next to brutal, just so a know beofre parting with the cash

Hello Hooter,
I have done the factory reset, I have checked that the mac address is present, I loaded the latest file as advised. It now refuses to detect any channels when it does an auto scan. This bit worked fine before. I have the latest carl file on. What am I doing wrong?

Morning,
Ok, sorry i didn't update, went to bed. managed to get a scan and picked up the channels. However, I was faced with the same issue. no IP address showing, said connecting to ustream, but never actually did, and obviously still no unscram images. Do you think I may have a bad box?

its not that you have a bad box
it has happened to others, where neighbours who have the same setup cable/broadband/router
and it has worked for 1 and not the other??

more than likely it could be down to your broadband, i have not seen a fix for this, though some got it working after a while of trying, but said the done nothing different to get it working!!!!
but what harm can it do, try try
but remember do not put the usb stick in or out without box been turned off
also do a factory reset everytime after you put new firmware on box then scan once channels are in then connect b.band
and you are positive your area is on nag.3!

you could try but i doubt it will make any difference
also make sure you dont put the exact same no in the box as your comp
eg: comp ip 65.165.4.12
cablebox ip 65.165.4.10
otherwise 1 wont work if both are the same no at the end
same rules apply for x.box, ps.3, ect......

as you should only get the 5 or so channels what you would get on your tv
