Hi folks,

Serious problem with this box at the moment, It's been fine since last christmas with no problems at all.

Last night it re-booted and seems now to be stuck in the rebooting sequence. The sequence goes by this order:

BOOT - LD80 - ON - (random number) - you recieve a picture for 5 seconds then it freezes with the volume still hearable. It then repeats this sequence over and over.

Now this is what is baffling me, I plugged old V box back in and that is displaying the LD80 error aswell?

Note: I do have a Starview 1 box upstairs with no problems at all. In full working order.

Can anybody help? Or had simular problems?

Sounds like the capacitor on the power supply board gone a common problem. Google starview power supply board. U will be looking to pay about £13 or so for a new one. They can be brought on *bay but only 5 or more at a time. U can of course just replace the capacitor if u have a soldering iron handy a replacement capacitor availible from maplins and steady hands ;-)

I'v read online on various websites that going back to the 6.01e software could work.. and this can get rid of the error.

Do you know if this is true?

Im currently on 8.02e.

Also do you know why the v box is coming up with ld20? Seems strange that both boxes have errors, i was thinking a connection fault or software problem because of this. My box upstairs is fine.
