hi all I am trying to set up my new box, I have loaded the software on for the cable part all thou I aint scanned for any channels yet. but I am have a bit of trouble with the sat part.
firstly is there another firmware I have to load on to receive channels ??
which is the easiest frequency to pick up as I am new to the sat part ??
is there a list available so u know which channels are on each frequency e.g hotbird astra etc
will the channels be scrambled ? is cardsharing the way to go ??
you will only get FTA chans on the sat, google lyngsat for a list of whats on the the astra sat, if your dish is pointed at 28.2 you will get a good selection, you will need to connect the box via the lan to "open" more chans, but this is Card share and its not openly or allowed to discuss here
Secondly, the cable part of this box will be cecome redundant very soon with the advent of Nagra 3, have a look at the Nagra 3 thread for what areas are gone and going,
But google is your best best for c share and what you need to load and how to load
Cheers for the reply mate I know about nagra 3 I have used eurovox for years but that is why I am tryin to get on to the sat side off it !! All I am really after is picking up football !! Which is the best for that ??
Do u mean unscrammble when u say open ?? Is the a firmwware I need to load or a tuturial on how to set up the sat part as I can only find tuturials on cable !!
But you will only get FTA chans. You wont get what your looking for with his combo unless its connected via the lan and thats where google is your friend
