TV Reboot to activate EXT-1 menu

This sounds like a strange problem so I'll try and be brief as possible.

I have a Technika 22" TV/Freeview set. I used to select, from the remote, the source menu and bring up EXT-1 to play my DVD player. Recently the button does not activate the menu and I have to unplug the TV and then switch it back on to access this menu.

Has anyone else had this problem?
