Been out of circulation a while and was wondering what the latest is in relation to working boxes for dublin area.Have tried lots of posts and cannot determine what the current situation is.Any advise would be most welcome.

the answer is none, no boxs working in Dub that will get premium chans, unless yer on MMDS corus,

New cards been sent out now to all N** customer's so only a matter of time now till the other channels are gone i would say.

True but that would entail moving to Cork for the few remaining months/years/days/hours it's up!

MMDS is this working around the country.
All areas that chorus doesn't have cable, they have MMDS

Yes but some areas on mmds have changed over mate. As far as I know the only main area remaining up is Cork.

Well there's 2 others that haven't changed yet so but some MMDS areas have changed so they are obviously working on it. And the original poster has said in the first few posts he is on ntl dublin so all the MMDS talk in Sligo and Tipp is completely irrelevent to the thread but thanks for letting us know about those mate.

NTL MMDS are using a different system than Ch0rus.
NTL MMDS boxes are DVB-C
Ch0rus MMDS boxes are DVB-T
Correct me if I am wrong, but that's the way their systems were.

So a hard cable DVB-C box e.g. starview 1 will work on MMDS if it is DVB-C ,is this correct mate?

firstly, the majority of the prem is gone on nthell mmds,
so how long more is another guess, but tat the rate they are sending out cards there aint much more left in this in Ireland
There aint goin back to they way it was, unless ya drive a De Lorean and yer name is Marty
