I want to copy some of my VHS tapes to DVD, which would be better though?

VHS/S-VHS & DVD Combo Unit
VCR/S-VHS VCR > DVD w/ Composite/S-Video cables?

standalone.. always.. they allow you to insert macrovision stripper boxes which isn't possible with combos
