EasyCap Help?

I have been using my EasyCap device to copy VHS Tapes to DVD and it has worked great so far.

However a friend has asked me to copy some old tapes that are on mini tapes run through her Sony NP-98 video camera. I've connected the video camera up to the computer through the EasyCap but when i start to capture it stutters and runs very slow.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
