I apologize if the questions I've asked have been answered before, but I have no idea what to look for as far as fixing my problem. I recently purchased a cheap ADS usb capture device, and I've had trouble with the audio. First of all, the audio quality is annoying and I've had to fiddle with the sound card quite a bit (at first it wanted to play the audio with tons of reverb). The audio cuts out a lot, very briefly but very frequently so it's pretty annoying. I guess I could learn to live with that (although I'd like to fix it) but the real problem is that when I upload the videos to youtube, the audio sync is way off. The software that came with the device is crap, has no editing features and only records to mpeg for some reason.

I'm not expecting great quality, I just want people to be able to see and hear the video. What do I do? Which program should I use?

Again, I'm very sorry if this problem has already been addressed somewhere on this forum before. I've never worked with video before and I didn't want to invest a lot of money in a video capture card when I only want to transfer a few things from a couple of old VHS tapes to youtube. Also, I don't have a lot of money to begin with.

Hello,

I use this device and get good results. Use the driver from the disk that come with unit. Make sure you choose the vista version if you use vista or win 7. Do not let setup auto install the driver; install it manually. Uninstall the old driver before installing a new one. If using x64 bit system, you must turn off Driver Signature Enforcement (DSE) before installing the driver and at each bootup where you will use the device. I turn of DSE by constantly tapping my F8 key until the option appears. Hope this helps and good luck!
