I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600 capture card and have been using GBPVR to schedule and record TV shows. The problem that I have is the files are very large from the card capturing MPEG 2. I then have to transcode the files to Xvid which takes another 2 hrs for a 2hr show.

Is there any software that anyone knows of that can capture and transcode from the HVR-1600 straight to Xvid or DivX? I don't really care too much about the PVR functionality. The computer is in the back room anyway and not used as a HTPC.
