i want to watch a MPEG vidio i made from my camera and i wanted to watch it on my dvd player but it dosent play MPEG what do i do to make it play on my dvd burner?

Since the movie is surely shorter than 80' and its quality won't be DVD-like, I suggest you to make a VCD [Video CD](easy, cheap). Follow http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/110106 .
Otherwise, if you want to work hard losing time and precious DVDs, read the guides written in http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/ to be able to make DVDs.
