Encoding AVI with Dr. Divx messes up video. Help!

When I use Dr. Divx to encode my AVI file, it ruins the video by turning it grey, adding pink horizontal lines, and distorting the image. Audio seems to work fine.

This file is an AVI converted from a Flash SWF file. I used Magic SWF2AVI to do it and the resulting AVI file seemed to be succesful. I watched the video thoroughly and the whole thing plays.

Here are the file properties:
File: 2.4 GB (2.4 GB), duration: 0:04:31, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 74 %
Video: 2.0 GB, 63401 Kbps, 12.0 fps, 550*400 (4:3), DIB = Microsoft DIB, Supported
Audio: 46 MB, 1411 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x1 = PCM, Supported

I appreciate any help. I need to encode this to Divx so I can use TMPGEnc to convert it to MPEG2 in order to burn it on a DVD. (According to the AVI to DVD guide, the AVI file needs to be Divx Encoded)
