Hi, I'm a newbie who is looking to convert video clips from my camcorder to DVD. My camcorder is actually an analog camcorder so I am using Dazzle Hollywood DV to convert it to a AVI file and then encode/burn it to a DVD disc using Pinnacle Studio 8. My problem is:
Encoding (or rendering as Pinncale called it) a 60 minute video from DV file to DVD took me a good 4 hour plus. This does NOT include any DV capture conversion time or burning time(that's another 60 minutes plus) so my question is: is this pretty normal? or is Pinnacle doing a bad job converting AVI to DV file (or is it MPEG2?) It's just awfully slow and I'm wondering if there are other software out there that's much faster. Any help is appreciated!!
