I did exactly what the guide says and my program just crashes a little into the movie. Maybe 5 minutes of the movie gets encoded and the program is just frozen. Anybody else get this problem??? Whats the deal?

This guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm ?
Maybe there's a corruption point.. try to cut the AVI with VirtualDub (video___Direct Stream Copy): ('part1' = 0 - 4/5 min) , ('part2' = 5/6 min-end). When the encode range overlaps the corruption point, VirtuaDub will signal you an error in the AVI and abort. If all works you can try to reduce the avoided interval (till the warning).
After, apply the guide to 'part1' and 'part2'.

Try another movie or reinstall the program.

I was having issues with that program as well, switched to winavi and no more problems... Firm believer in you get what you pay for, and in this case you didnt pay for anything so you didnt get anything.

Hi,

I was just curious in which "New" version you were using.

The last version is 0.4.3
available here : http://vso.nerim.net/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_043.exe ,

A lot of problems were fixed in this last version.

yeah I had the latest version. When I said new, I meant the "new guide." Cause I posted this the day that guide was posted (I think?) I'll give what you said a try aldaco12.

Hi again,

Well, in the case you are using the latest version,

I would try contacting VSO's support

at http://www.vso-software.fr/support.htm

They might not be aware the problem exists.

Not a VSO problem, it's probably corrupt AVI problem.

Black holes are where God divided by zero...
