Burning avi files to DVD with Nero - codec problem?

Hi,

Please help - I'm going nuts with this one!

I've been burning avi files to DVD with Nero with no problems. Then found that some had a blank thumbnail when importing the files. These only recorded audio with no video. Whoopee, another coaster.

I checked the files with GSpot, and found that the files that burned OK had the div 3, DivX 3 low-motion codec. The ones that didn't had the Dx50/Divx, DivX 5.0 codec. Gspot said that both codecs were installed. So why isn't Nero picking up this second codec to use to write the files to DVD? Can anyone help here? Or am I on a wild goose chase with this thread?
