Why don't you explain to us all how you get a backup to work without swap magic or a mod? I'm sure it would help a lot of people. When you want to add something to a previous post use the little paper and pencil thing by it on the right side of the screen instead of posting multiple times.

I found a way of loading the PS2 Media player on to a Memory card using the Action Replay Evo Edition.
Just put the MCLoader.elf on the usb device and then load the AR. once thats loaded load the media player( if you want to use the Media player that comes with the AR, you have to use the converting/burning tool that comes on the PC Disc. If you want to load the media over a Lan Connection then use PS2 Media Player since the GameShark Media Player is a piece of $!!#ing Shit that doesn't run at all and its alot of $$$) then select the MCLoader.elf and press [X]. it should load the MCLoader. then use the PC JAVA file to connect your PS2 and PC together using a cat 5 Cable (not Phone Line). Have the PC pointing to the folder that contains the media player, then select memory card manager and select load to memory card. make sure that you have created a proper Title.db file( if you haven't check google for instructions and tools) (also make sure that you have room on your Memory card and have a Official PSX Game(backups wont work I think)PS: Make sure that your PS2 has the proper IP Address for the Computer. Also Edit the Properties files that is used by the PC Program to match what your PS2 Screen Says when in IP Address in MCloader. Then all should work fine with no problems or mods

I also found if you download FREE HD Loader and rename the HDloader file in the files folder to the same name of the Sega Gens emulator on the PC disc of the AR it loads, and alows you to run FREE HD Loader with no problems and also allows you to backup games to HD.
Can't get the AR to backup thow.

Play backups with the AR with no MOD CHIP!
Boot up the PS2 with AR in Drive select no for update in asked(much Faster loading) then use the Cog swap trick( check google for Cog Swap Trick for help) I use cogswap.elf on my AR USB Stick to stop the disc from spining so no damage is done to the disc. check google for cogswap.elf file (it helps out alot, tells you if the eject botton was pressed and if there is an official PS2 game in drive to use for swap trick.

use what ever program you use to burn games to a CDR!
then use the cog swap method or your method to load it. Then just do like I said before about how to load it to a mem card. MAKE sure that you have a OFFICIAL PSX game so you don't have to do the swap trick in order to load the player. The Title.db only uses the ID of the PSX game you choose. that way when the ps2 boots up and reads that one disc, it boots the player. You have to use a ps2 memorycard since a psx memory card just doesn't have enough space(and it wont work). when that certain memory card is in the first slot it boots the player, but when it is in the second slot or if not in a slot, it boots normal.
