Hello all can someone please help me. I can not read this disk in my NEC 3540 for nothing. I have cleaned the disk and everything. I am using DVD Decrypter and Alcohol and I just cant read this disk to make an image. Is there some kind of protection on it? any suggestions would be great.

no, most likely it is something with the drive,

does it do this with all discs?

LOTR is a dvd rom and requires a dvd rom drive

the game should read

Nope the drive is fine, in fact i tried to read the game in 3 diffeent drives and it still didnt work. The disk has no visible scratches or anything like that so I dont know why it wont read

i have to sadly admit that i don't know what the problem is.

i just tried my LOTR game in both my dvd rom drives and it read fine. so if it's the game, its that particular game disc.
